Our History...

Mayville True Value traces back its begining to 1986 as the second Ben Franklin Store opened by Jerry & Flora Schanen, Brian & Sue Perry and Chris & Barb Schanen (the first store is in Campbellsport, WI).  The store was originally located at 1028 Horicon Street in the Westgate Shopping Center and stocked many household basics including Variety Merchandise, Crafts, Fabrics, Clothing and Sesonal Goods.

In 1998 the store's contents were moved to the former Curry's IGA store building at the opposite end of the Westgate Shopping Center (1028 Horicon Street).  Along with this move the store joined the True Value Cooperative and added full hardware departments along with enhanced Variety, Crafts and Fabrics departments.  The store began to operate as Ben Franklin-True Value.  In Fall of 2002 a RadioShack Dealership was added to the store to enhance the availability of consumer electronics for our customers.

In 2015 it was decided to part ways with the Ben Franklin Stores organization after nearly 30 years of flying the banner.  During 2015 the store will proceed with rebranding as True Value Home & Hardware but will still feature the Variety and Crafts departments that our customers enjoy.
